When: Thursday, 30 April
4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Digital Life Collective members research, develop, fund and support Tech We Trust technologies that prioritize autonomy, privacy and dignity. They are a cooperative, member funded, member owned and member controlled.
The International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) defines a co-operative as:
an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly owned and democratically-controlled enterprise.
This webinar will provide an introduction to the Digital Life Collective and a demonstration of the ‘skin’ they have built for their open-source collaborative tools, including their ‘social ledger’, ‘social graph’ and ‘holons’ view of their various groups and projects.
This event will be run on Zoom at 4pm (UK time – BST) on the 30th of April.
The event is free and open to all but PLEASE REGISTER HERE to participate.
Please make sure you have downloaded the Zoom app and are familiar with the controls before the event.
We use Zoom and Google docs for collaboration. We know there are open source alternatives available – we’ve chosen to use these tools until open source options have the same level of uptake and usability – in order to be as inclusive as possible. Hopefully, during OPEN 2020 we will collectively agree on a more suitable, open source, set of tools to use.
