When: Thursday, 21 May
4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Join us for a Webinar with Grace Rachmany, Hedayat Abedijoo and Guillem Cordoba from Holochain.
Holochain enables a distributed web with user autonomy built directly into its architecture and protocols. Distributing the storage and processing of data can change how we coordinate and interact. With digital integration under user control, Holochain liberates our online lives from corporate control over our choices and information.
Read our previous posts Holochain – the perfect framework for decentralised cooperation at scale and Holochain – The commons engine for some background on the project. We love the concept of Holochain and are looking forward to hearing the latest news on developments in this webinar.
Grace, Hedayat and Guillem will be presenting a brief introduction to Holochain, 2 app demos (probably Mutual Credit and Wiki), and some of the other apps that are working in demo mode at this time.
There will also be time for questions so come prepared!
This event will be run on Zoom at 4pm (UK time – BST) on the 21st of May.
The event is free and open to all but PLEASE REGISTER HERE to participate.
Please make sure you have downloaded the Zoom app and are familiar with the controls before the event.
We use Zoom and Google docs for collaboration. We know there are open source alternatives available – we’ve chosen to use these tools until open source options have the same level of uptake and usability – in order to be as inclusive as possible. Hopefully, during OPEN 2020 we will collectively agree on a more suitable, open source, set of tools to use.
