The purpose of the London Open Co-op is to bring existing sustainable enterprises in London together into a sustainable collaborative community which can more effectively Improve Quality of Life and Reduce Ecological Footprint in London.

People

  • Join The London Open Co-op
    • Become sales and marketing agents for London Open Co-op Member Organisations of their choice
    • Join London Open Co-op working groups
    • Join the q£ trading network and skills exchange
      • Earn q£ working with or for Organisations
      • Earn q£ work with or for eachother
  • Exchange £ for q£
  • Invest £ into Sustainable Enterprise projects of their choice for q£ return (i.e. pre-sale at discount)
  • Donate £ to The London Fund, directing it towards their choice of the available (member-selected) projects
  • Spend q£ with Organisations

Organisations

  • Join The London Open Co-op
    • Get low-cost effective viral marketing
    • Join q£ ethical trading and barter network
  • Accept q£ as part-payment for products and services

qopi,
good to see you have move these pages here as discussed. Personally I think you should emphasise the London Fund more, and that land, tech, and logistics are the three core initial investments that need making...they are infrastructure. Its worth making clear that the idea is to provide other ethical business services using this infrastructure such as food, clothing, energy etc, so that people can see how investing there pounds can give a return in q£'s that will be useful to them. Also I thought we had agreed to drop q£'s for the ECO.

Nice one Josef.

As I see it, there are two main activities implicit here:
1. A systematic drive to find individuals and business members.
2. An online cc system. There seems to be a good summary of what's happening now at http://www.thetransitioner.org/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=CcProjects

If this is to be more than an online LETS we need to make sure there is a good range of different services available.
